Have you ever seen a tv commercial w/ a song you liked & then later realized it was a real song from an actual band/artist?
What was it? Did it start you getting into them?
Just curious, since in recent years LOTS of commercials have been using 70s & 80s pop & rock tunes.

Yeah I heard a song on a movie trailer but didn't realize that it was a real song by Peter Gabriel.

Yes!! I heard a song by the All-American Rejects on some Target commercial or something like that. I liked them before, but I LOVE them now!

yes. how about a song that you already knew, but they took it, redid it, and threw it into 3 different ads?
the postal service- such great heights. its in an M&M commercial, the garden state trailer, and another commercial for something else...
also, theres that song from the geicko commercial where the caveman is in the airport, and see's the "so easy a caveman" sign. the song there sounded pretty cool, so i looked it up and it was royksopp, an odd group.

Well, I usually already know who the singers are (even though I am only 17). My dad was a big music fan and he sort of passed that on to me. My collection is very diverse...ranging from the not so well known to the very well known, from rock to jazz to country. The only music I don't listen to is rap, hip hop, and pop.

Hotel California.. Eagles. Some commercial about differnt hotels in Cali.
