I was in the exact same situation! I finny bought the 30gb black video and im so much happer that I got that than a little nano. Ive seen and played with both and the video hold's alot more which i need-i mean alot. Plus after messing with my video and then playing with an pink nano for 2 days, i couldnt do it. It's really small, which is good but I thought it was too small! Here are them to compared:[from me]
Ipod video can play movies, tv shows, download games, hold more songs pictures, and view pictures in much larger screen. Were the Nano cannot.
But the nano: Looks better, and you have choices on what color, smaller, and can be shakin around becuase it doesnt have an hard drive, and not scratch as easy.
Heres another comparasion[from apple] to help you choose:http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=A78BCB3E&nclm=iPod
I guess it all depends on what your going to use it for. I reccomend the video anyway becuase its a few bucks extra and you get 8times as much storage. But if all you have is a few songs, and not gonna be doing anything but using it for music and viewing of pictures[which you can barly see] and tend to work out and allways on the go, pick the nano.

I will recommend you the Ipod Nano for one reason and is that the battery has a long duration or at least is longer than the Video. I have to give a point to the Ipod Video because you can see videos on it and photos too. Another advantage of the video is the capacity and that really matter when you want something to have everything you like. In my opinion you should get the Video for the facility of viewing Tv shows and that really works when you do not have nothing to do.

I would go with the video, I got my boyfriend the nano for christmas and it just filled up way too quickly. If you dont listen to a lot of different types of music, then the nano should be fine. But we now both have the videos and I would only get the video again, it does so much more with movies, tv shows, video podcasts and music videos.

i might want to bypass with the iPod contact because of user-friendly contact-exhibit screen navigation and a spectacular length exhibit screen. The exhibit screen length is ideal for taking area in video clips on the bypass. The music sounds tremendous with the help of the headphones, yet you may in user-friendly words use the headphones that come out of the container, no different headphones will in good structure. 8GB is merely no longer that a lot, yet in case you dont want to apply various memory, 8GB will be very well. in case you want to get a more inexpensive iPod bypass with the classic, yet i do recommend the contact.

It depends on how much music you have or plan to get, if you have alot of music the 30 or 80 gb(videos) would be perfect, but if you dont have a ton of music, and dont plan on getting any more then the 2gb/4gb (nano) would be perfect

Nano. Better price. You will be broke by the time you got 1000 videos on your video.
