On the other hand, Potassium ions have been documented to pass through the cells using ION Channels, which require ATP or some form of energy. I would have to say active transport, because osmosis has to do with water,diffusion deals with things going from high concentration to low concentration. and I have no idea what facilitated diffusion is.
