What is your favorite subject matter? If I'm stuck for an idea I usually try to start with something I am most interested in or a piece of work that I like the most and create from there. I personally do better when I'm passionate about the material I'm using. If you have a favorite photograph, would you be able to incorporate that somehow?

A lot of the logos or business cards I've seen that are most effective are simple, clean and don't move the eye around too much. It gives the essence of what you're trying to "sell" the moment someone touches it. So one of your own photographs would seem quite logical since they will be able to see a sample of your work immediately.

I hope this helped just a little. Just my own thoughts...

Good luck!

how about something a bit esoteric? which, in researching will provide you possibly with some new interests, as well? check out runes, and especially bindrunes. they have interesting shapes, and also allow you to create something with intrinsic meaning, based on the "meanings" of the rune(s) you choose. also, how about something astrological, perhaps based on the chinese zodiac, (and linking in with your sign, etc. from western astrology),relating to your year of birth--especially if you're a dragon or tiger. could be interesting. thus, you'd have something quite personal linking you to the business. too, check out "sacred geometry". amazing shapes, etc and, finally "mandalas"---also attractive designs with meaning. good luck ;-)
