Does anyone remember the name of an old cartoon about a group of dogs?

There used to be an old cartoon that came on about a group of dogs. If I remember right, the head dog was white and wore sunglasses. I wanna say he also wore a purple shirt, but I'm not sure. Can anyone help me out?

Ah, I know! You mean "Rude Dog and the Dweeps". The one with the sunglasses was Rude Dog, the leader of the gang.

The show was on tv in the very end of the eighties.
