all i see around me is people.. grab,grab,grab,grab, grabbing with filthy little hands trying to take what they can from the less fortunate..is this the way it is

gone gone gone and what a shame everybody is greedy and selfish and why when we have so many things to be grateful for I blame a lot of it on the television

A lot of times, it is. They'd take from more fortunate people if they could, but those people have learned how to hold onto their money and possessions.
Not everybody's like that. Try to find others who aren't into exploiting others. You don't have to, like, join some hippie commune, but try groups that build community and help others and the environment and stuff. Find others who support your ideas instead of getting too down about those who are into exploitation and greed.
There are good people out there! Focus on finding them and it'll be easier to deal with the bad ones.

I'll have to tell you it is, yes, this is a society that is used to find something new, get all it can from it, and then throw it, and find the next new thing... Human respect? It's gone into thin air, in the universe somewhere.

I do think it is getting it worse. The rich do not care who they stuff if they can get a little more.
The economy has always thrived on profiting from the poor, but if it keeps going like this, one wonders when it might cease.

it does feel like human decency has gone down the drain. customer service is awful, people are rude and seemingly always angry. i think as resources become scarcer, people's animalistic senses are heightened. the planet is getting smaller, and there are more and more people.
