Your question is missing an important factor, who will not change them? Did you take the vehicle to a shop where they are not equipped to work on the struts? Are you trying to have them replaced under a warranty, and the shop says that they are not covered?
With more information, I could most likely help a lot more!

The dealer will not change them because it is one of many things that is not part of the bumper to bumper warranty. Sorry. Struts are wearable parts just like tires and belts. I hope this helps.

Who "they"? Honda - because it's 8 yo, and 5 years out of warranty. Others - have no idea...
