I would be really interested to hear why you needed help, who was there for you when you most needed help, and what help they gave you? Thank you very much for sharing your story.

Jesus

Jesus has always been there for me even when I didn't know Him or that He loved me enough to die for me to live in Heaven with Him. Later when I had accepted His forgiveness for my sins, I became aware of His power over events in my life of which I had no control.

There are at least 5 times that I know of and probably more when I should have been killed. If Jesus had not stepped in and protected me, I wouldn't be here now. Some of these times, I was not even aware I was in danger until it was over. There are other times I knew I was in danger and didn't have any more time than to say His name before I would have been killed. All I know is that He answered my prayers when I needed Him the most.

Well I will miss out the circumstances of why I needed help etc in my hour of need.
At the time I looked around me, and questioned who I should or could trust. To a high level of trust and valued guidance, I could find no-one who fitted the bill. I concluded the best person to turn to was actually myself.
After all, I know my own feelings, my experiences, my opinions etc. I know myself better than anybody, so who else could do a better job than helping me, than myself?
If in need, by all means seek advice from those you really trust, yet ultimately a little time alone to think with your thoughts and you yourself will see the best answers before you...

Oh, THANK GOD for my Mother!!! I've gone through quite a few rough times in my life - been cheated on, lost a boyfriend that I really loved, had my Grandma die. And then there's been things that were difficult but to a lesser extent. Mom's been there for everything. I don't even know how many times I've gone crying to her that she's been there and loved me through it. Sometimes what she says hurts but I've always known that she loves me and what she is saying is in a spirit of kindness and helpfulness. She hates seeing me hurt but that doesn't stop her from saying what she feels like needs to be said. Especially if it means that I will hurt less later on. I don't know where I would be without her!!!

My parents....strange as it was, I could think of nothing better than being on my own, I couldn't wait to leave home and be my own boss. I was living in another state, had 2 young daughters and just divorced...I was emotionally tired as well as physically, I was young and with no family close by I had no one to turn to...I thought about the easy way out, I figured my Ex could find a way to raise our daughters better than a worn out, tired mom, I decided I just couldn't go on...my parents were called and the next thing I knew I was on a flight back to my hometown, Mom and Dad were at the airport waiting on me and the girls with their arms open wide. I stayed with them until I got back on my feet financially as well as mentally. I will never forget the feeling of depression that engulfed me to my very core and how just knowing I was loved lifted that awful feeling from me.

I guess I would have to say my dad, I was at a really low point in my life and was considering some drastic measures, and I decided to talk to him about what was going on with me. He just sat there and listened to my story, and looked my straight in the eye and said that "quitting never resolved anything and that he didn't raise a quitter either"

My God came through for me as always. Lost my job of 10 years; unemployment ran out didn't know how I was going to pay my rent, car was taken away, bills piled up. Family members and friends turned their backs when I was always there for them. (mother & father had already passed). In hard times you always find out who your friends are. My brother and sister moved away got married and it seems they forgot about me, but that's ok. Out of no where an old college love came over. I haven't seen him in years. he was married with 2 kids. he owns his own restaurant. He asked why was I so down and I explained everything to him. He says that since he has known me I have always been a hard worker throughout college and my career and offered to give me $. I told him I couldn't because He has a family and he said that I was his family too. He wasn't taking no for an answer. He counted out $2500 in back rent and said that I didn't have to pay him back ever. I said no I will but I don't know how long it will take. He said no. When I got on my feet I started mailing checks to his job and would send them back stating he didn't want them because I was his friend for life. Keep in mind he was visiting a friend in my complex he wasn't coming to visit me and I bumped into him.

I think of my parents as they have been there for me since I was born. they provided me endless love and support. and they let me reallize that that failure only belongs to those who is staying down.
I attend university in Canada and they are not close by. I can only see them once or twice a year when I go back to China. I miss my mom and dad, and I love them for being my parents.

I needed help with school, because girls were picking on me. My mom was there for me through everything. She helped me by building my self-esteem and talking to the principle.

My mom, for always having a sholder waiting. For always being there when I call, and for just being my mom. She has been there for me when my marriage was in trouble, when I lost a baby and almost died from Eclampsia. I love my mom for that and always will.
