Nabokov is in a platoon situation with the Sharks and right now is hardly playing at all because of Toskala who is smoking right now. Giguere is a great goalie when healthy and can carry a team. Bryzgalov seems to have lost his confidence and that makes Giguere a hotter item when he gets back. I'd go with Giguere.

nabokov. giguere's a butterfly goalie, all about positioning. nabokov is a butterfly-variance, which allows him to play the angles, but he's also a reflex-type goalie. this gives a slight edge to nabokov.
and lidstromnumber1fan - the reason giguere won the conn smythe was because of his texas-sized chest protector & jersey. he looked like robocop back then and his jersey stopped a lot of shots. i'm not saying giguere's not good, he's a very capable #1, but his equipment gave him an advantage before. now we get to see the real goaltender behind all that - and it's not bad at all.

That's a tough one. J S Giguere is good. He is the reason the Ducks made it to the Stanley Cup final and he is one of the few players on the losing team to win the Conn Smythe. But I also think Nabby is good. Maybe now that the whole Sharks team is better this year will tell if Nabby has what it takes to go all the way.
