play a simple game with her, maybe have them try on your clothes from your closet, sing a silly song, have her or him help cook or make some cool aide. just act simple and that makes them happy

It completely depends upon why he is crying. If he has been crying for a substantial amount of time almost without stop, then likely something is hurting him and I suggest taking him to a Dr who can better help you figure it out. They don't cry like that for no reason, something is bothering him/her. Is the home particularly stressful right now (lots of people, a move, some tension, something like that?)? He could be cutting teeth, try and put your clean fingers in his mouth and see if you feel anything a little sharp trying to poke out and then call and ask Dr. what you can give to him, ibuprofen is usually what's recommended, but check with Dr for dosage. He may just be going through a clingy phase, give him as much time being held as he wants, you can not spoil a child simply by paying him attention and holding him. Try 'wearing him' by using a baby sling, a front carrier since he's a year old. But overall, I say go to a Dr., again, they don't cry for no reason at all and not stop. Something is going on and hopefully a dr. can help you figure it out.

Well, if you've tried everything, you know the baby isnt hungry, does he need a nap? or is he teething? sometimes they are fussy when they are teething.. has he/she had recently been vaccinated? if the baby is teething, maybe try some orajel on his gums, and or some baby tylenol. If I were you, I might have the baby seen by a Dr.. go to your emerge if your dr is not available.. I have a 16 month old son, and he was never unconsolable like that at one.. Good Luck hun, I hope you figure it out.. lots of hugs and kisses for the baby, extra attention, try not to get overwhelmed.. if you start to feel overwhelmed then put the baby in a safe place like a playpen, and go outside of the room for a minute, breathe, collect yourself, and go back in, and try again. Good Luck!

Check that there is nothing wrong. Ear infections can be quite bad and not give a temperature. Try giving some children's paracetamol and ice cream (not necessarily together). A car ride can work, or a ride in the stroller but go for quite a time as if a child has really cries for a while then it can take them quite a time to stop.

A bottle usually works if they are hungry. Usually when a baby doesn't stop crying they are hungry or they have gas. Milicon drops work for gas.
Distraction also works if the baby is upset. Get an Elmo doll or something colorful or some bells and make some noise to catch their attention.

It depends on what the child is crying for. Is he/she sick? you can usually tell a hurting cry from others. If it sounds like a hurting cry you may consider hospital...you never now. If it is just a tired /craky cry you need to do things to take their mind of it. GIve them a newspaper or magizine to rip up...watch though so he dont eat it. Give him something that would normally be off limits but use caution and supervision.
If its pain from having a sore throat or ear ache..thats another question

If there's nothing wrong with the baby, for example, being wet, dirty, hungry, hurt, or sick, then the baby can usually be distracted by something DIFFERENT that he or she has never seen before. Try that.
Your baby might also be HUNGRY for solid food if you're still feeding it a liquid diet. The baby might be suffering from GAS pains if you're feeding it formula. Check those things out.

First of all you need to find out what is wrong with him/her. Is she tired, hungry, hurt, sick, teething, mad, did someone he/she like just leave and he/she is having separation anxiety? Are you currently washing his/her favorite blanket or stuffed animal? Once you figure out what is making him/her cry then you'll be able to remedy the situation. Good Luck.

Is the baby inconsolable? He or she might be in pain. If the baby screams when you lay him or her down, call the doctor and make an appointment to have her ears checked - could be an ear infection.
