Well he probably won't go down for that in history. My guess is most controversial.

"Greatest" is debatable and impossible to determine. We've had a lot of good ones, and a few great ones.

"Great" for our time is not debatable. Considering all the destructive democrats opposing him on a daily basis, he has weathered his 8 years very well so far and has still accomplished a great deal.

In hindsight, he will be seen by democrats and republicans as having made the right decision in the War on Terror and the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan. Donald Rumsfeld's handling of the war has set a template for future leaders and was very innovative and inordinately merciful toward the Iraqi people. We had many opportunities along the way to do considerably more damage than we did, and many Americans were advising just nuking the Sunni Triangle. We chose not to and were able to pacify the area, and Fellujah is now under 100% Iraqi control.

If there is a history after BushOilCo, it will go down as the darkest and most fatal time in the history of the United States. They plan to draw Iran into the Gulf War and make it "us against them" meaning all of Islam, which we will ultimately lose. And when you are applying for a job with the Chinese who own your county, and can't pass the math and science part of the job test, you can thank Bush and his friends for taking that out of your school curriculum.

I would be happy to answer your question but I don't know which President Bush to whom you refer. If it is the senior Bush, he was not great, but not terrible. If you are referring to GWB, he is not great or greatest. I think he does what he thinks is best for the nation but I have to take exception with many of his decisions.

Ha! man... he's such a fur head... everything he does he messes up.

refused to accept what Iran proposed two years ago, today he can't get them to give him half as much.

refused to sign a treaty banning weapons in space, now China is militarizing it and WE will have the short end of the stick because we have a bunch of satellites China doesn't

he refused to ratify the Kyoto protocol now the world looks at us as a rogue nation

he said no child left behind and mandated the curriculum be followed but failed to fund it. Teachers had to use funds from other programs for no child left behind, funding never came so neither the new program nor the old ones were taken to full term.

he mandated that NASA goes to the moon and on to Mars but did not fund it. So, NASA was forced to kill thousands of ongoing projects some for decades to fund a program to the moon that will be killed the moment he leaves office.

the list goes on and on.

If I lived in the USA, I would have voted for Gore. Bush is okay but I think of better ones throughout American History

He's the greatest leafless Bush; a scrawny, near-dead little piece of schrubbery with the life-aspiration of becoming a tree and that just ain't happening!

Do you mean George W. Busch? Reading through the answers it amazes me that anyone can say he is even good. LOOK AT HIS RECORD! If you want to put an "est" behind a word to describe him then the words would have to be something like: dumbest, slowest to react, on vacationest, etc.
