I am skinny, thick boned, slightly flat footed, approximately five foot nine inches, and relatively weak in my arms and legs. Aside from intense Basketball practice, how do I become faster for basketball. Are there any exercise tips and suggestions that will get me faster and able to jump higher?

Note: I am usually categorized as a power forward

I'm 6'0 even i played basketball in high school a few years ago for polytech in long beach our coach got us shoes called strenght shoes the work to build up your calf muscles so you will be able to jump a lot higher i was 5'8 my 11th grade year when i played and i was dunking with two hands because of those shoes and now that I'm 6'0 I'm up there with 2 hands easy so try those shoes they only cost 99 dollars or you could do something we used to do in track in field to build up your legs... take a rope put it around your waist and have someone pull just a little bit so it puts strain on your legs then you run on your toes only for about an hour or so then go to toe lifts where you stand up flat footed then just lift up on your toes and touch the sky do that about 2000 times i bet you will be faster in about 5 months with strong calve muscles..

The 3 excellent approaches to get quicker could be one million. Efforts- Go to a hill, and run as some distance up it as you'll in one million minute, provide your self two mins relaxation, then do it once more. Anywhere among 6-eight will provide you a fine exercise. That can even aid with staying power. If you are watching for a extra explosive exercise, do it in 30 seconds, so you do not velocity your self in any respect. two. 17s- Go to a basketball courtroom and run the with of the courtroom 17 occasions. One facet to one more facet counts as one million. Do a experiment run, then attempt to beat that point. A well exercise is 6-eight units of them. Do each and every of those as soon as every week (#one million monday, #two wendesday, #three friday) or whatever like that. Be definite to get a few protein after each and every exercise. three. Plyometrics- This is natural explosiveness, that's well for basketball. Look up a few animations on google for extra know-how.

honest answer....the more you play the better and faster you get. I played 5 hours a day for 10 years, I know how it works. Run alot and do toe raises in your room at nite or when you have time. Keep it simple
