The alcohol wears off after 3 or 4 hours which is why you shouldn't use alcohol as a sleep aid. Also, you are probably dehydrated as the alcohol acts as a diuretic—try drinking several glasses of water before going to bed. Also try not to drink so much, a lot of alcohol is not good for you.

After you get drunk and only getting 3-4 hours means the alcohol hasn't passed your body system completely yet. Every time you drink alcohol drink one glass of water with it so you won't get a bad hangover and the alcohol is mixed with the water which will pass through the body system quicker.
An average person needs about 7-8hours so after waking up from a 3-4 hour sleep you'll feel restless because you are not gettin enough sleep. This will cause your concentration level low and cannot think probably sometimes and leaves you feeling stress.
So next time when you go drinking don't drink as much as you did before and it won't take as long for the alcohol to pass your system.

When you get drunk to that extent you tend to dehydrate. Dehydration can result in a restlesness as the body tries to reset its inequilibrium. The way to help it overcome this electrolyte imbalance is to consume water when you get home and take an asprin as well.
It is the water that will help you regain balance and perhaps allow you to sleep properly and recover. The answer really lies in not getting drunk I associate these eposodes with immature personalities that should be exercising better control over their social habits

You are not sleeping, you are unconscious,"dead to the world".That's how you can DIE , from aspirating food or fluids from your stomach into your lung's,being so drunk that your breathing stops.Having your brain swell so badly from fluid overload ,called "cerebral edema",the blood circulation stops and your brain dies from lack of oxygen. Are you looking forward to a premature death ? The great lie for you young people,is that you believe alcohol is a sedative,it's NOT,its a stimulant, and puts stress on every organ system in your body.Lot's of info on the web, check it out. SW RNP

That's not the only bad thing about "getting drunk." Just ask your doctor. Seriously. Being drunk is bad for your body and brain in many ways!

The alcohol acts like a sleeping pill and when it wears off after 3 or4 hours then you are unable to get to sleep again.

Because you aren't sleeping, you have become unconscious. You won't get sleep until you get the alcohol out of your system. Probably the next night.
