It is said, If you want the men to come bring the women!
The men are studying the women so what's the point of having a Men's Studies.
Studying the women is more interesting anyways.

Here's the thing...Historically all of the "learnin'" we have gotten and the records we have kept have been focused on the work and contributions of men. Similar to how the focus and history has also been on rich, white people. The reason why academia has created places for a focus on women's studies, black or african american studies and other minority group studies is that it has never been historically represented in the past. The focus on just a certain groups allows that knowledge in a sense to "catch up." One of my favorite movies to understand why we need Women's Studies is "Ironed Jawed Angels" women have had the right to vote in the US for LESS than 100 years. Change comes slow and progress also comes slow. It can very easily be reversed. Just because a group has rights now, doesn' t mean they can't be easily taken away. Reading Lolita in Tehran explains this phenomena clearly. The women who had advanced degrees and careers in Tehran were not taking seriously the threats of the conservative leadership to take away those rights, very quickly it happened and extremely intelligent women were no longer able to have a career or even leave the home without male escorts. It's no joke.

Feminists believe that every other subject is men's studies. This is a lie that is present the position that a seperate area of study catering to men, should be studied.
