I was wondering if anybody knew the exact place or places that the book night takes place. I am pretty sure it's tansylvania but i'm not sure if thats right and I'm not sure if there are others.

There are many setting. Elie's hometown in Sighet, Transylvania, but he is taken to several concentration camps: Auschwitz, Birkenau, Buna, Buchenwald, and Gliewitz (I probably have misspelled some of these names) I hope you are not asking this question in order to get out of reading the book for a school assignment. Read the book. Trust me. It is one of the best books ever written, and it will change the way you look a the world.
p.s. it's also very short...not even 120 pages...it can be read in a couple of hours.

I wish I could remember because that was one of the all-time-best books I've ever read. I don't know whether I even still have a copy of it, but now that you've mentioned it, you can bet I'm going to go looking through my library bookshelves since I got a whole bedroom in our new house designated as my library / office. i read the book last year in my skool. but i think that is where he was born. because he was takin 2 auschwitz concevtration camp and then 2 buchenwald the 2 main places he went
