i would get a Creative sound card. a Fatal1ty shold be good, or get a fatal1ty platinum with the fron I/O ports. the processor seems fast enough, and there is enough ram, if you are planning to upgrade to vista, you might want a little more since vista uses about 750Mb on boot up (as of RC2). also, i am not a user of Kingston RAM, i prefer Corsair, but htat is more of a prefrence thing. the vid card is good, it is fast enough and has enough memory, and is DX10 compatable. the PSU is good enough. mobo looks fine, i don;t use intel boards if i can help it, i prefer to use ASUS fi possible, but againits just a prefrence thing.

i would get a DVD+/-R/RW/RAM drive. this will let you burn and read any format of disc (except blue-ray). you might even want to get a seconf drive so you can copy cd 1:1 without ripping them to your hard drive.

you don;t have a lot of hard drive space there. yeha it is enough, but if you start storing music and movies, it will fill up quick. it is a lot easier to just buy a large HDD in the beginning then to try to move your data to a new drive when you outgrow this one.

you might also want to look into a RAID array. my prefrence is RAID 5 (data security and fast speed, search it if you want more info) i would recommend something like 320GB Seagate x3 HDD. your mobo supports RAID, but the onboard RAID tends to be less reliable then an add-on RAID card, b ut that would fill up 1 of 2 of your PCI slots.

coolermaster makes a very good case, as does antec, an lian-li (expensive) just to name a few. there are a lot of good case manufatures. and samsung makes good monitors, but i;m sure you can handle that on your own.

you have a solid system, but there are a few things that could use another look at

good luck

Sounds like this dude will kick butt. Some might argue about the Intel motherboard - Asus could be your choice - but that is a matter of opinion.

Looks perfect but may need faster RAM:

1Gb is just not the best for gaming...
The rest of the specs look more that good for gaming....
