Possibly nipple confusion. Try pumping some so you aren't so full, then as you take him to the breast, use a dropper to get some milk in his mouth. Actually, put the milk on your breast so he'll get the taste of it. That way he'll realize that he is going to get milk. It will probably take someone helping with the dropper and patience!

Are you trying to stop feeding him? Or are you feeding him with a bottle? Your question isn't very clear.
The more the baby sucks on the breast, the more milk you make. The pressure in your breasts, if they are not emptied, is painful. Try and have a hot bath and allow the milk to flow. Express the milk - your supply will dry up if the baby isn't sucking. It will take a while.- a few days.

You need to slowly stop or you could develop mastitus, an infection in the milk duct. It really hurts!
You still need to express your milk manually to relieve the pain and fullness, and gradually ease it off.
I cut out 1 feed, once a week. So in the end I stopped completely after about 4-5 weeks.

Good luck.....

I think that it is strange that he stopped breastfeeding but then maybe you are eating something that he does not like. I would try pumping it until you get to your doctor and then they can give you a pill to dry up the milk. Another way of getting relief is getting into a hot bath or applying a hot cloth to your breasts.

Is it possible that you are pregnant again? That changes the taste of the milk... Pumping milk will relieve the pressure as well as keep your milk supply going while you figure out the problem. A nipple shield will help the nipple pain - you use it while you feed him.
