it was my one and only one night stand. It didn't last long but the guy was so hot. It was on top of a washing machine.

I haven't had one... mostly because I have figured out that a meaningful relationship is worth so much more. (And as my friends have pointed out: feels better anyway).
My answer to you is find yourself a person to be with... then make some effort.
It pays off big.
