I like to think that I have positively influenced a few, but one especially comes to mind. A girl moved in next door to me and made many gestures of friendship toward me. I ignored her at first because I was at least ten years older than she. Eventually we became fast friends. Then I found out that she was addicted to drugs. After agonizing with her thru this period where many unpleasant things happened to her, I issued her an ultimatum. I simply told her that if she wanted to keep me in her life as a friend, she would have to go into rehab. The rest is history. It's been 12 years and we are still good friends. She credits me with being the driving force in changing her life. I love her like a best friend/daughter.

yes, i think most of the people have positively influenced someone even without knowing it. If you see your drunk dad come stumbling in and pass out on the floor and it makes you not want to drink then even your drunk father was a positive influence. YES I KNOW THATS A DUMBASS COMPARISON but you get the point

yes. i met a guy who was heavily on drugs for 14 years and his family and friends tried their best to help him but it was no use. when i met him he was in a state and i could tell he needed help before his life would come to an end. he was 7 stone in weight and could not walk or talk properly. he went to prison for a number of times because of theft and so on. i tried all day and all night. and now after rehab and my constant help and attention he told me that i have made him a better man who is now free from drugs, free from the need to steal and has a job and is a weight of 9.5 stone. this man i now my husband who i got married to in november last year. believe me it was NOT! easy at all. i was told i was a junky lover. but i feel i done a good deed.

I helped get an 18 year old guy out of his gang and then coached him to losing 50 pounds of body weight over the course of 5 months... all while we were in county jail, (where we first met!).
