My neighbor has a car thats just been sitting in our culd e sac (sp) for about a month now. It has a flat tire and she never drives it. We have limited parking because we have no spots in front of our house to park (but she has 2 spots and a drive way err!!) so I want to get the car tagged. How do I go about doing this?

city code enforcement--then be ready for the back flash. If your not friends now--guess you now have a enemy that will wait for you to make a mistake----- how, about a nice bottle of wine and just talk over the problem

If this vehicle is insured to be on the road and it is not illegally parked you are pretty much hooped. If the registered owner lives on this street no one will pursue this as an abandoned vehicle because it's not. If the vehicle does not have valid insurance, whole different ball game. Call the City By-Law office and file a complaint.

If it's legally parked in a public street, YOU can't get it towed.

However, if your area has the typical law in place that states if a vehicle doesn't more for 72 hours it's considered abandoned, or if by chance the registration is expired, then you could report a suspicious vehicle to the local police department you could tag it, and if it wasn't then moved, THEY could have it towed.

Make the call.

Is there something on your deed (or hire once you're renting) that truly says, in writing, which you're entitled to those spots? asserting "properly that's understood by skill of actually everyone that truly everyone has 2 parking spots consistent with city living house" isn't legally binding. till you have some thing IN WRITING that asserts those spots are yours (or if the parking spot is truly on your sources, like a driveway, and not on the shrink), then you definately have not any criminal remarkable to place up that sign or carry out your danger. you do no longer very own the line, so returned, till you extremely have some thing in writing that states you very own those spots, they are able to park there all they want and you will merely could desire to handle it. in case you DO very own it, or in case you lease and your hire aspects rights to those spots especially, then particular you are able to call the owner and have him have the motor vehicle towed, or your self once you are the owner.

If you are friends with your neighbor...talk to her. I think that it is pretty low down to have her car towed. Ask her if you can help her move her car into one of the spots in her driveway. Be neighborly.

I think you have to file a formal complaint with the police. Get some of your neighbors to do it as well.

Talk to them first then if they refuse to move it you can see about getting it hauled off with clear conscience
