I've been a frontline soldier in this war for over a decade, and as a PC user, I logically blame the Mac users, as for the last 13 years, I have had to slap down these people as they take swipes at PCs. You see what with their 5% of the market, I'm as worried about them, as I would be about a DEC-VAX mainframe, I have my PC and I get on with it, so why do these people constantly need to take pot-shots at all aspects of the PC? Like these adverts by Mac themselves....

Why are there virii and spyware for the PC and not the Mac? Because no-one is going to be interested in making either for the poor return they'll get.
See I'll admit the mac comes with some nice bundled software, but that's because no-one else makes software for the thing!
So if you're a Mac user, can you argue that it's the PC people that started the war? Or will you admit you are insecure and bitter?

The whole Mac vs PC thing has been going on since the year dot. It's no different to X-Box owners claiming their gaming machines are better than Playstations etc. Both have their strengths and weaknesses and it's great that consumers have a choice.

This is my idea,
in fact Mac is Apple platforms and PC is IBM platforms! They're both already becomes an enemies each other Since 1993! Why 1993? becouse the revolution of CPU (central processing unit) is started by Apple when they launch the super computer for Accounting and statistical use, and some other special features! The IBM,amd, intel, and microsoft strikes back in 1994 when they have their Pentium 1 and ibms win windows 95 (The first multimedia PC affordable for mass consumption!) apple loose their triumph! Ibm Made a home and office used PC! IBm establish their factories in Asia to Build their PC components and assemble it in USA! (to reduce the labor and material cost!) Ibm buy other company's license on their technology right and also develop their own technology, while the Apple is still busy in making the super computer without thinking the future economical prospect!
most people even in the poorest country knows that IBM platform is the real Computer, since ibm platform is the best money that they can get!
IBM platform also gives u a total freedom to build your own PC (home assembled PC), install whatever u like, modifiying it or doing anything with it without any boundaries!
That's why many Hardware & Software developer would prefer to Build IBM platform software, games etc than MAC - Apple platform! Because they know the power of Market recognition on IBM from the market preferences!
So, MAC is MAC and IBM is IBM

Real Pc and Mac users get along but it is the ones with no life or don't know anything about one or the other say random crap about each other.
PC- All games, more software, easy to custom, Windows Media Center
Mac- Picture edit, less viruses, own parts, Front Row
They both have the ups and downs. I use Linux, Mac, and Windows and switch around because each has stuff it is good at.

Simple! They are afraid to buy a REAL system! When you see their posts, dont forget to ask them how many times they have been to the software department only to wish their Mac could run it! LOL! As far as viruses, if Mac were anywhere near as popular as windows, the malware writers would be all over them! I run Windows and havent had a virus in 3 years due to the fact that I now have the common sense to know where they come from!
TUCKSIE! Explain the feeble attempt Apple is making by producing a new Mac that can run Windows? (although anyone who would buy a Mac to run Windows makes no sense)

The Mac/Apple focused on Hardware and did it good.
The PC manufacturers followed the $ and made machines that ran Windows.
Both are good because I can run Linux with Ruby on Rails on them.
The PC is cheaper, but that is because of our Disposable Economy Base. Everything we make is meant to last 5 years, then buy another.
Taxes get paid, government stays solvent all are happy.

Sorry to knock you down but the high end users are all turning to Apple, that's such people as graphic artists, film editors and animators.
The reason PCs get smacked with viruses etc is because the Windows applications are written around the same codes the hackers use and so a virus can be accepted by Windows without question.

the war dose not mater because there is only one winner Bill Gates as he owns Microsoft and is a majority shareholder in apple
