year if the US military would just leave Iraq ASAP and let them do it?
-Unlike the US military, Iraqi Shiites know what the (Sunni) terrorists/insurgents look like.
-Iraqi Shiites outnumber the terrorists/insurgents about 5 to 1.
- Iraqi Shiites have been fighting & killing Sunni terrorists/insurgents for 1500 years. (they don't need any US training)
- The democratically elected Iraqi National (Shiite) Govt. is the most US friendly Govt. in Iraq.

Does anyone have any PROOF that the Iraqi Shiites would cause genocide of the Iraqi Sunni civlians? If the current civil war in Iraq continues for a decade or more (15,000 Iraqi civilians dying per month) would that be considered genocide? China & Russia are friends with Iran & does the US stop doing business w/ Russia and China? Give the Iraq war to the Shiites & all terrorists will be killed, no US troops will die & they can come home with honor ASAP. If anybody has a better idea I love to hear it.

I would agree. Get US Troops out of Bagdad and leave it all up to the Iraqi Army. Pull back and watch the borders for insurgents. No more Iraqi police, all Iraqi Army. Thee army doesn't have to go home at night and their families will be safe.

I thought the whole point of "liberating" Iraq was to promote a secular democracy, not give one religious group dominion over another. That is bad politics!
As for the Bush appointed, I mean democratically elected Shi'ite dominated government, it will surely favor the policies of Iran (which is also predominately Shi'ite Muslim), once the United States does withdraw troops. In fact, I guarantee within months of leaving Iraq, the current government will fall to a coup led by more zealous factions of the Shi'ite majority and merge politically with Tehran.
How's that for loving America?

Sorry, but that is an incorrect statement.
Shites might be a majority in Iraq, but they are a minority around the World as 80% of Muslims are Sunni, and I suspect that they might not quite like seeing their brothers wiped out by a group of Muslims who are often considered as heretics by the more orthodox Muslims.
Allowing one group of Muslims to commit genocide in iraq will just cause more problems within the Middle East.
And the USA will get the blame of starting it all through its initial invasion.
You really need to start seeing the bigger picture.

to administration the oil. heavily, there is not any hidden purpose right here. The U.S. has a economic and political pastime in administration over no longer merely center-jap oil, yet oil reserves global. you're kidding your self in case you entertain the concept the conflict in Iraq is about battling terrorism, or bringing freedom and democracy to oppressed human beings. In a fashion this stuff are considered as "further reward" to the important purpose, that's administration of the oil. word i did not aspect out "stealing" oil, because this isn't the case. we are not precisely stealing it, we are only protecting it less than our thumb for safekeeping. ask your self, why is Hugo Chavez this variety of wide probability to the USA, yet Fidel Castro isn't? because Castro isn't sitting on the biggest oil reserves in South u.s..

great plan, but err.....one flaw. basically, we're reverting back to a genocide. That is what will happen. I don't support the US invasion, but now they've screwed up and need to sort it out before pulling out. They've already run from enough fights (Somalia, Vietman, etc)

Genocide would solve the problem of civil war but it is not a palatable solution to the majority of westerners myself included.

Yeah, the Iraqi Shi'ites and their Iranian Shi'ite brothers. We all know what great friends they are to the USA (sarcasm intended).
