I don't know how reliable my answer will be... but I was there this summer and I would say it's about 45 minutes.

the metra will get you downtown pretty quick...less then 25-35 minutes end to end...but once you get downtwon to Union Station, it's not like the Soliders Feild is right there...with traffic that could be as long as the train ride...they have some kind of shuttle bus to and from ther station...i'd bet an hour to hour 15...if all goes right. And if it were summer I'd say walk it...but man is it going to be cold tommorrow...and snow...GO Bears!

nothing major ,but it will take about 1.25 hrs
from ORD
Blue Line downtown to washington & Dearborn
exit
Walk 1 block east
Take the Red line south To Roosevelt ave
walk east to Soldier Field or just follow the crowd
