to move to a small horse/cow town that has the small town feel i miss so much. it needs to be close to a big town that offers jobs. thanks

I would look around areas around Dallas and Houst; a lot will depend upon how far you want to drive as well. Then people can give you some places.

Crosby Texas, just 30 minutes from Downtown Houston, still has a small town feel but is within commuting distance of a major City. Crosby is very much a horse town and is home to the Crosby Rodeo.

I live in McKinney, just 30 min N. of Dallas. There are plenty of jobs right here in McKinney. But the town that I think you'd like is another 5 minutes north of McKinney called Melissa or just nearby is Anna. Those are cute small towns that you can easily drive to work to Mckinney. They have horse properties and it's very rural and nice.
