the characters spent the whole film figuring out how to get into the shop then break into the safe and were pinched by the rozzers as they walked out. Smart and witty film, mid 60's? i will sell my first born child for the title of this film! i jest of course. . . .

Yes, I'm 99% certain it is Rififi. I think it is also famous for one of the longest silent scenes in the history of film.

is it Riffiffi,1955 french movie, which "inspired " a certain Mr Tarantino to make Reservoir Dogs( or did he just modernise it??)
