Moondance by Nightwish - an upbeat rocky instrumental with a great folk twist - well worth checking out.

"Toss the Feathers", from "Talking on Corners" by the Corrs. Fast, traditional Irish instrumental, with a funny time signature and syncopation which would provide quite a challenge.

out of experience, it depends on what type of dance she's doing. for example, if she has to do ballet, than she should use a classical piece by tchaikowsky. if it's more hip hop, than just a good song with a back beat. i suggest that you find out what movies she likes, and download the soundtrack from them. the soundtrack from Pirates of the Carribean is a great soundtrack! i'm choreographing a dance to it now! :D good luck!

Edit: it will take a while to get it since the song isn't American, but it's worth it, trust me
