Is it better to spray cologne directly on you, or spray it in front of you and walk into it?

walk into it, you don't get it all in the same place, and it's not as strong

Spray the cologne lightly on a washcloth, and dab where necessary. The neck and other places like your temple are good places. Let the cologne sink in for 2 minutes and then sniff-check.
And remember less is more, you'd see too many teenagers excessively spraying AXE aerosols thinking that's a good idea.

I don't know if this answers your question or not but, women are told, to get the best use and longest use from perfume is to dab or spray on your pressure points, like under your neck on the inside of your wrists, behind your knees, pretty much wherever you check your pulse. if you walk into it you might not get a strong effect, unless you want it to be a light effect.
