Oh, as Americans we're totally spoiled! Do I need an I-pod, a cell phone, a DVD player? A TV for that matter? Do most of us really need a Car? H*ll no! But in most cases we've convinced ourselves with a little help from Madison Avenue that these are items we can't do without. But hey, it all keeps the wheels of capitalism turning, my dear. We become wage slaves to pay for all the sh*t, the companies thrive because we buy the sh*t, people stay employed by the companies and it's a sweet cycle of goods and money. Except for the not so small matters of environmental degradation and exploitation of the masses it works for me.

Many people are spoiled and look on the things they have as rights (like Paris Hilton) but some people, like myself look on them as privileges that are rewards and are not necessary for a full life.
