i want a portable, smallish, wireless internet, dual-cord, with a minimum of: 1 gig of memory and 1-2 gig of RAM laptop. i want to find the cheapest price for the most computer. any advice on which laptop to buy? i like the averatec 2300 and the dell latitude. any opinion, personal experience, or advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!!! <333

can't say for sure on newer systems... but every Dell I've ever had has been buggier than a Minnesota summer.
Ever since Apple switched over to Intel processors, I've leaned more and more towards their products. The thing that finally pushed me over is Boot Camp (see sources). I am going to be getting a new laptop for college, and since I'm going into film I need it to be very high quality (i.e. Macs) however, I am also a gamer, and thus need a Windows based system. Apple is letting every Mac user put both OS' on one machine, so you basically get the best of both worlds.
