Please don't tell me to go to a manicure, even if I wanted to my nails don't grow long and they're too fragile and break.

I love the nails you're talking about! I don't like fake nails all together, but go for it. They're not tacky AT ALL!

I think they're tacky. Some people can pull them off, but I like natural nails better. The long, plastic ones are kind of creepy.

They both look artificial. Unless you have to have false nails for work, like your a stripper or something, you really should try to grow your natural nail to a manageable length and keep a clear coat on them. The majority of men I know don't like false nails.

No. Tacky is a subjective term, but I think you'd be hard-pressed to find someone offended by the first set of nails. Keep it classy and understated and you'll never be tacky.

otherwise I'm sure you are perfectly lovely, don't waist your money!
Yes fake nails are not just tacky but very tacky.

Depends on where you get them done...I recommend a city centre salon such as the Creative Nails Academy, Very well trained =] They have many outlets in Leeds, UK.

I don't think that the first ones look tacky, myself.
the most natural and classy look (in my opinion) is silk wrap nails. they look really nice, and you can get them done at the salon. it sounds weird, but basically instead of acrylic they use layers of silk and glue to 'build' the nail. it looks really nice and lasts for a while.

I go back and forth with this one. Ok...they look nice...especially the first link you gave us. But they don't feel right. I prefer "ah natural" but for that dashing look you need for a special party go for the fake nails baby!

I don't like fake nails. They look fake and when one of them breaks off it looks really bad. I think you should just take care of your natural nails.

Yes loong fake nails are tacky.
No reasonable, look-like-real-nails ones aren't.
