Hiya
Ive a son with a psp and a daughter with ds and to be honest i'm on the ds more. The sims 2 or animal crossing i enjoy them both but it's a bit irritating when your in the middle of a game and she wants it back !!!

The DS.
The DS CAN use the internet.
And don't be fooled by the multi media nonsense. Why would you want to carry around a large handheld just for music when you could carry around an Mp3 less then a 1/4 the size and more songs? And when was the last time you were on the bus and/or train long anough to watch a movie any way?
The PSP and Sony in general have very little commitment to games themselves as opposed to cramming in power and features.
The Nintendo DS on the other hand, is owned by a games company that wants to give the world great games and make a lot of the good games on it themselves.
So think about the man rolling on in money and laughing greedily and the man smiling because gives the world joy through video games when you reach for your new handheld.
Also I'd recommend any Mario game as your first choice.

I have the DS. I'm 31 and am a manchild myself. I like the new Super Mario Bros. and Dragon Quest Heroes Rocket Slime.

PSP, my friend have one and I want one VERY bad. I have a DS but I still want a PSP~ The game i play is Bomb and Monkey Ball Banna Blizt~

I love video games, and I am in my twenties. I would probably buy both of them if I could LOL. But if you can't, I would probably chose the DS. The DS has more family oriented games.

they are both really different
i would chose the psp because it can hold music, you can acess internet, and lots of other things
and with the DS you can purdy much just play games
lol prolly not much help but yeah

Nintendo DS is fun. Nintendogs is awesome. I mean... there are these tiny adorable puppies that stay puppies forever... AND DO NOT DIE!
