I believe we can thank a Democratic Congress once we get rid of all the tax breaks and cushy kick-backs afforded the oil companies; in addition to Congress investigating why oil/gas prices have been inflating for the past two years, but magically seem to be going down again in a similar market.

Sorry, but you are wrong about Bush. I neither give him credit for upturns, nor hold him responsible for downturns in the economy, because he has little control over it. The economy is a far more complex beast than one person, or group of people, can control themselves. If anything, the chairman of the Federal Reserve has far more power over the economy than does any sitting president, because he and his elves set monetary policy, which goes a long way in influencing more than just the cost of money.

OK.
I can't do it and this is why:
1) Daddy Bush (the retard's father) is the one responsible for the gas price(s) soaring in the first place.
2) I remember when gas was $.86 per nine-tenths gallon (at the very least)...AND...that was before Daddy Bush took us to war in the Persian Gulf!
So...you're glad you're paying $1.97 for nine-tenths of a gallon...
WHOOP-DEE-DAMN-DOO!!
If I were you, I'd find something else to rejoice about!
America is getting 'fleeced' by the wolf in sheep's clothing: GW BUSH!

have you heard him talking about Iran again? I've heard a little but not a lot...
but when he does start talking a lot specualtors will go crazy over fear of a distruption in the supply...
"cheaper gas" goes bye bye...
and, as far as gas prices go, you may as well forget it if we invade...

Shouldn't you be thanking Saudi Arabia ? They are the ones who increased the oil output.
