I've never heard of him until last week on VH1.

You may be too young to remember him. He was in the rap group 3rd Base. Their popularity came with their album " Derelicts of Dialect" and the biggest hit was "Pop goes the Weasel" which sampled Peter Gabriel's "Sledge Hammer" and made fun of Vanilla Ice's career. In fact that's the main reason they were so popular briefly, they had a ongoing beef with Vanilla Ice.

He was in a rap group in the 80s called 3rd Bass. They had a big hit with "Pop Goes The Weasel" which made fun Vanilla Ice at the time. He is a has-been and is not the best rapper.

You heard of third Bass tho' remarkable? If no longer start up with The Cactus Album then head directly to Derelicts of Dialect the two are great albums with best Minister Pete advantageous and DJ Daddy prosperous.

WOW... he's from 3rd Bass... him Pete Nice.. Super Producer Prince Paul.. Derelicts of Dialect... they were popular... not as big as the Beastie Boys as far as white rappers go....
