I think if you really love basketball that much you shouldnt give up. You just might have to practice more, a lot more. Go to the courts on your free time and just practice endless shots and dribbling. Then once you get a little better ask some people to come along and practice with them.

Listen the same thing happened to me. But what you need to do is to keep holding like just neighboorhood games. Just play with people who don't judge you. Then afterwards when they leave you do one thing at a time. Start of with ball control. Then do layups, freethrow line shooting, mid-range shooting, and then practice your long shots. One thing that you can do with a friend is passing. Do this for 2-5 weeks nonstop but on weekdays only. Weekends you get off.

Absolutely! Practice is the mother of skill. Remember that EVERYONE faces rejection; what makes success is how you percieve that rejection. Pete (Pistol Pete) Maravich, who holds the all-time record for average points scored per game in the NCAA Division 1 said, "I didn't just get my talent, I practiced for 8 hours a day."

Joe Satriani, one of the greatest guitar players in the world said he practiced for 3500 hours a year!

Michael Jordan was cut from varsity basketball!

Practice + Vision + Determination = Total success!
