Is your water pump leaking ?? If not it doesn't need replaced. I see so meny pumps and thermostats replaced for heating problems. They are rarely the answer. The radiator causes overheating usually.

No, it's not relatively easy to do unless you're an experienced mechanic with the appropriate tools. But then, if you were, you wouldn't be asking.

You take the old water pump out of your car and insert the new water pump where the old one was.

It's not VERY complicated as long as you know what you are doing, and have appropriate - some special - tools. This is not a do-it-yourselfer project.
