Ang S is cool
i agree with her
who cares whats supposed to happen
i really dont think itll be the end of the world
like there have been many times throughout history that people thought it was supposed to have already happened
the only thing we need to be afriad of is pollution and environmental degradation and using up the resources on our planet

The sun will rise and then set. Lightening will strike the earth. It will rain, it will snow. Wind will blow. People will be born, and people will die. People will wake up and people will go to sleep. Dogs will bark, cats will meow. The moon will rise and then set. The tides will come and go. There will be earthquakes; most of them unable to be felt.
Nothing outrageously special is going to happen on that day. Nothing.
Just because a man-made time-keeping device begins a new cycle doesn't mean the world is going to end.
Your clocks all start over at 12:00; twice a day. (Unless you've got a 24 hour clock.) Why doesn't the world end twice a day? The Julian Calendar (the one we use now) ends every December 31; why doesn't the world end then?
People have been predicting the End of the World for centuries; they were all wrong. Why do you think you're right?

Actually it is the 21st not the 23rd. According to Mayan prophesy everyhting that man has created will rebel. Imagine bieng strangeled by you necktie caught in a fax machine, or having your food processor chop off your hand, or you own pets attack and devour you. Those that are left will have to start over. works for me, I'm already prepared. And since I am immortal anyway...

The hidden Bible Code mentions a comet coming in 2012. Ref "The Bible Code", ISBN 0684810794, page 155.
So, that's 2 independent sources citing the year 2012.

Well the Mayans haven't been around for a while, their calendar outlasted them I guess. Time will go on and it will probably just be another huge pre-Christmas shopping day, maybe we'll be driving energy efficient cars to the mall or whatever but I don't think there'll be anything special about that day.

The sun is going to rise in the morning, move across the sky during the day and set in the evening, then it'll get dark and the stars will come out (unless its cloudy of course). Gee, kind of like today isn't it?

This is just a guess but I would imagine that people will be done last minute christmas shopping and preparations for chrismas dinner. But seriously anything can happen we just have to wait and see.

I honestly don't know what's going to happen on Dec. 23, 2012.
I don't know the future--I only know Who holds it.

People will use it as an excuse.
"Sorry I didn't get you anything for Christmas, I thought the world was going to end."
