There are ways to see your own aura, one way is to lay down and stare up at the ceiling. Your aura surrounds your whole body, as you are looking at a blank, white surface you will begin to see colours. This is your aura.
Allow your eyes to go out of focus, or if you are short-sighted take off your glasses, this may help.
What colours would it be? This will depend on a number of factors, including how you are feeling at the time, what kind of person you, your interests etc. And colours will change depending on what is going on in your life.

I would love to say whites.. with some small blues and purples... but I would say is isn't that pure and I don't think I have a halo either... would love one though..
I would love to have my aura read but everywhere i see it advertised you have to pay a lot for it.

Usually, you would see your energy from your crown chakra, which is purple. Depending on which energy body you are dealing with, it can be any of the primary colors, but most people see purple first because it seems to be the most accessible chakra without doing extensive meditation, etc.

pinks, purples, blues (the darker shades like midnight blue) and greens. Maybe a spot or two of red, but definitely no yellows or browns.
