It may well be an endometrioma, AKA a "chocolate" cyst or hemorrhagic cyst. U/S findings for endometriomas consistently present with low-level echoes. Also, the outer walls of endometriomas are initially thin, but over time become fibrotic, thickened and shell-like, leading to irregular bordering. It is important that your doctor review all your symptoms (i.e. do you have Endometriosis, a history of other, functional ovarian cysts, undiagnosed pelvic pain, etc. etc.) along with the findings to determine the next step and possible treatment. If it does prove to be an endometrioma, the gold standard for treatment is surgical, although there are other medical suppressives that can be tried if you are against laparoscopy or other pelvic surgery. Make an appointment with your doc to go over the findings and do not stop asking questions until you are totally comfortable with the outcome. It is his or her job to put you at ease and partner with you in your care. Good luck.

No due to the fact that the cyst appears very similar to a furry ball and when you have been pregnant it might now not be on your ovaries, as you might have cysts on your ovaries it is going to additionally make it tougher to get pregnant, my daughter has cysts in her ovaries, Good Luck

First of all, dont be afraid to ask your Dr.

I really dont want to scare you, but I know when they look at tumors, cysts and moles, they are more concerned with ones that have irregular borders becasue they have more of a chance of being cancerous. Most likely, they will do a biopsy of the cyst and if necessary be able to remove the cyst and they can save your ovary.
