Sometimes stress or too many changes in your life can interfere with you period. Also, your cycle changes from time to time. I don't really know why, but it does.
If there is no chance you are pregnant, there could be other medical reasons such as changes in hormone levels because you are still a teen-ager and that does happen. It could also be endometriosis. I had a friend who had it and she went several months without a period when we were in high school.
Most likely though, it is something that is not too serious and can be dealt with. Endometriosis isn't that common among girls your age.
If you are really worried or miss a couple more periods, you should probably see a doctor.

If you had sex yes you could be pregnant if not then. It could be stress or some thing. The best thing for you to do is tell your doctor. If you are pregnant and don't want the child then give it to a family that can't have kids just don't kill the child like other girls that mess up do. Yes it is called killing because even at three months the child has a soul.

Only you can answer that. I sure hope not. You are not able to care for a baby when you are only 17.
All women go through period changes. I've gone 5 months without one before. And I wasn't pregnant. It happens to everyone. But if there is a chance you could be pregnant, you better get tested.

Don't worry....The same thing happened to me. I actually missed my period for about 2 years straight. Finally I decided to tell my mom, and we consulted my doctor. Apparently, it was a change in my hormones. It could very well be the same for you. In my case, I had to take an ultra sound to see if there were any changes in my ovaries. When it came out fine, I was told it was due to mental changes, I had been going through some hard times. Stress and your diet can play a big part in your periods. My doctor put me on a birth control pill for 6 months and after that, my periods were regulated. The birth control pills help regulate your hormones.
So, my advice to you is, don't worry. I know what you mean when u say u've not had sex. So there is nothing for you to be ashamed of, nothing for you to be scared of, but go see your doctor and he'll take care of it. Cheers....

When you say you couldn't be pregnant, is that because you use birth control, or because you have not had any sex?
If you started new BC, it may affect your cycle. Check with a Dr.
If you had sex and used some kind of protection, you need to be aware that NO BC is 100% effective, and you actually CAN get pregnant, no matter how careful you try to be.
If you do not use hormonal BC, AND you have not had sex, then the absence of a period is a complete mystery to me, and again, I suggest you consult your Dr.

I would just like to say, someone told you if you're pregnant you CAN'T take care of a baby when you're 17. I am 18 years old, and have a 7 month old son. I got pregnant when I was only 17 also, but everyone says I'm a wonderful mother. Other than that, I want to tell you to go see a doctor, just in case you are pregnant. It's best for you. I know you said you can't be... please explain. Is it humanly impossible, or do you mean, "I can't be... my parents would kill me!" type of can't??

well, the first few years of having your period, your cycle is irregular. At one time, I lost mine for 3 months, and one time I had my period last for 2 months. I am 16.
My friend's mom is a health teacher at the neighboring school, so I get a lot of information.
If you don't get it in the next few weeks, then try going to the doctor or gynocologist. Even if your embarassed to tell your mom, you're of driving age, so you can drive yourself.
Doctor's have a confidentiality policy. Or, if you don't feel comfortable going to your regular doctor, then I suggest going to your local Planned Parenthood b/c they deal with woman's health too.

There are two possible answers:
1) If you've had sex, you may be pregnant.
2) You may have become sterile
Go to your gynocologist and ask for an exam or go to a clinic and ask for a pregnancy test.

It could be, if you are SURE that you are not pregnant that your uteris may be encountering some serious problems. Or, maybe you just forgot to mark your calender when u had the last one.
I suggest you tell your mother and see a docter. If you are pregnant, i am sorry, you could try abortion probably, but if you are not, I sguest you see a doctor FAST!!!!

I say that you go to the doctor. You can have a hormonal imbalance. That can explain why you haven't gotten your period in 3 months. Are you sick? that can also delay your period. Also weight gain/loss or going on a different diet. hope this helps.
