selfish ,lack of respect, immature, wanting to get even, wanting to escape responsibilities, the other person is treating them like god, and they are getting such an ago boost that they don't want what they had anymore. its just an easy way to get out of a marriage they don't want to be in anymore, a way where they won't have to say or do anything to try to save the marriage. low self worth, poor character, wishing to humiliate and hurt the spouse, knowing she will end the marriage. un disiplined out of balance, never felt committed in the first place, no compassion, unhappy and boored with spouse, failing to control their emotions and having no self control.

I belive it is because there is somthing eles wrong in the relationship. Wether its a lack of communication or whatever. The spouse that cheats usually feels like the other does'nt love them or they fell neglected. They start looking for affection and comfort from others, some times not even realizing what they are doing.

Biology. The human animal was not created to be monogomous and was not so until less than 1000 years ago, when that upstart religion banned multiple marriages. They liscenced all of the brothels to the church so you could have all the sex you wanted, but only one spouse. And, it was quite common for many men to have mistresses and concubines up until the last century. I was in Panama for the last presidental election and the word out on the street was that one of the contenders did not have much of a chance since he did not have a mistress and many people considered him one step from gay. I suspect that his wife ok'ed it since she was more interested in being a first lady than she was worried about him fooling around.

because they are assholes/bitches. (for the most part) my ex husband cheated then felt guilty so he started treating me like crap to make himself feel as though i deserved it because i was such a horrible person. but i was working almost fulltime and going to school fulltime and taking care of our kids and the housework. he wasn't doing anything to help out and wouldn't even use his income to help pay bills. so i really have no clue how i was so terrible. but i got tired of being mistreated so i left. he swears i cheated but i never did stoop to his level. but it sure didn't take me long after i left to find someone new!

usually because they arent in love with the person anymore, they dont have a good sex life, or they just like the thrill of getting away with something or like the feeling of having sex with all different people and not just one person. Or if their relationship is boring.

because they need that excitement and things get boring in the course of a marriage. life gets busy, schedules get busy, and sometimes you don't get to see enough of each other, or maybe they find that another person is more compatible with them. sometimes you don't marry the person that's best for you. that's just the way life goes :(.

I do not cheat on my spouse. Sometimes I do have sex with other women but that is just me having a little fun. I don't mean anything bad towards my wife.
