Aren't President Bush (set on building a NAFTA Superhighway) & Texas governor Rick Perry (who plans a Trans-Texas Corridor) both land-grabbers for the rich?! The plans seem to be to get cheap Mexican labor together with cheap Canadian natural resources for the sake of big business profits. I've read it will cause wages in the USA to PLUMMET. Also, it seems that the land in Texas (& elsewhere?!) will be snatched up, ripping it away from local families and making it available for sale or lease to others, for gas stations, hotels, diners, etc., along the route. In Texas, NO community seems to be clamoring to have this highway, and it will eat up lots of valuable farm & ranch land (-- like 4 football fields wide in some areas). (- Fumes!!)
At the borders, the plan is to only electronically inspect massive numbers of inbound trucks, it seems. Who cares about citizens' rights or the need for national security when rich politicians & business cronies make BIG $$$. Stomp it !!

You can start by badgering your elected officials that are supposed to represent you in Washington. For too long we, as a nation, have done nothing but gripe at the situation. It is time to let these elected persons know that we want action from them & not just lip. Talk is cheap & they all seem to know how to do that alright. Lets see some real changes or you don't go back. If we let them know that we are paying attention they will have to answer to us; one way or the other.

both parties help getting their friends favors and do what they can to get reelected and get campiagn money. until we break the two party system and get a viable third party it will keep going on. both parties fear the thrid party vote. Last election the dem stop the green party from even getting on balots, rep tried the same thing with the reform party. We all need to start a voting revolution and vote for these thrid parties.

That was the reason for the Supreme Court to stomp citizens' rights to property. Now the gov't can get your land and flip you off a quarter,"Call someone who cares!"
