Difficult comparison to make as Henry and Rooney are two completely different 'types' of player.

As a complete golascorer then Henry wins by a country mile as a striker that links with midfield to help create play and chances then Rooney probably shades it.

But to answer the question at this moment in time its Henry and has been for a long time.

well.. henry's had waaaaaaaay more experience, in europe and in english league, but rooney is fresh-young talent.
Henry is captain, a top goalscorer and a record breaker.
rooney has a fiery temper, a shopaholic fiance and is slighty big.
Altogether, Henry is a better player. Based on experiences, but im sure within the next year, top players like John Terry, Jamie Carragher and Gareth Barry will be fearing Rooney a lot more.

They're chalk and cheese-- totally dissimilar styles. Having said that, Thierry Henry is the deadliest striker in the game today, and a classier player, to boot. I predict Henry will score a couple later today, and the Gunners will beat United.

Henry is the better of the two, Rooney as a lot to learn yet. I think Larson could be the big threat.
