I recently had the same question and called my obgyn. She told me it was safe to take Robitussen DM but not the kind with CF. Check the active ingredients and make sure it only says Guitifisen (sorry bout the spelling) and no other active ingredients. Hope that helps!

My doctor said actifed and sudafed are ok as well as robitussin dm I think if you were not supposed to rake it past a certain point in the pregnancy the doctor would say so right!! hope you get well soon heaving coughing is no good oh benandryl is safe too my doctor even said it is good for trouble sleeping!!

Robatussin...and another good thing is Tiger Balm. Its with the Icy hot and stuff like that. Anyway was really sick when was about 34 weeks with my son and my OB told me to put a little bit of that under my nose and it really cleared up my sinuses in just one night. and breathing it in of course helps with your cough and congestion too. Feel better!

You can take anything that does not have decongestants and/or expectorants. Ask your pharmacist if you cant' get into talk to your doc. They are much more knowledgeable about this sort of thing.
