Actually, Mary J. Blige is the reigning queen of R&B and soul because she been around longer, people love her songs, and she has more fans. Beyonce is a close second, and J-Lo is more of a pop singer. I think J-Lo and Beyonce are both pretty in different ways.

Id say the true queen of RnB would have to the late Aaliyah, her music is amazing, i mean any of her music from Age aint nothin but a number, to Rock The Boat, is the best RnB ever hands down, not only that Aaliyah didnt have to flaunt herself to sell records, Beyonce and Jlo rely on their looks and fragrance franchise to shift records, now that is really old hat...
Ok im not saying Beyonce isnt a good musician or vocalist, however her songs dont have that timeless quality, that Aaliyahs music has, i can listen to More than a woman over and over, and it sounds fresh now as it did back in 2001/02, same goes with songs like ChoosEy Lover and Back and Forth...
Beyonce can sing but i will add this, she cannot act, to save her life, her roles are cliched, and she is so over exposed with her success with D/C that it is hard to take her seriously as an actress.
Again Aaliyah starred in Romeo Must Die and Queen of the damned, and her acting abilities were superb, even though she was a superstar, she had a reality to her, which for me makes Aaliyah the Queen of Rnb, and best transition from singer to actress, without the tacky pretentions..
As for Jlo dont get me started on her, she cannot act, her film Gigli confirms that, and her voice is annoying, i cannot bear to listen to her sing All i have with LL cool J..she is a good dancer, but singer and actress, she scores nil with me on that...

which type of r&b are you talking about?, there is only one queen, Mary j blige. I think J-lo was prettier than Beyonce at Beyonce;s present age.

nope, Beyonce is way too commerical for an R&B artist, some of her songs wont even be remembered after a while.
Mary J and Mariah could be considered as the queens of R&B for now IMO.

I agree with you i think beyonce is very pretty and talented,i think beyonce is prettier but my friend thinks j-lo is soooo much more prettier. but it's a close tie!!!!!!
