Technically, communism is the perfect utopia in which man shld live. But instead, b/c of Human greed its all messed up. Also, instead of making everyone happy, the poorer masses just succeed in getting everyone down to their condition, and nobody is happy. And there ends being much less freedom. BUt capitalism, with a bit of social welfare for those less fortunate, works much better. In the end, cpaitalism will win, because more people can be happy.

Communism isn't as bad as people may think. Yes you make the same wage as someone who's duties seem to be much greater. And yes, you have a similar standard of living as the next guy walking down the street. But if you think about it, shouldn't life be this way. A classless society takes away prejudices (not all of them of course). Everyone is serving society as oppose to themselves. Everyone is using the governement to have their own needs. Communism is jsut simply a radical form of socialism. The government is completely in control of every aspect of the financial state of the country. This how real communism use to be. The Bourgeoisie would stop reaping from the proletariats work. Dictators have changed the ideologies making them communist yet totalitarian countries as well.
Capitalism is another story. I don't know if you know the song by the verve called "Bittersweet symphony". You make money until you die. Basically, you work and work and work yourselve to your coffin. If you've gotta pull a Tony Montana to survive and make everybody around you survive that is basically what you're going to have to do. A capitalist government is a small government. It doesn't interfere with the lives of its citizens. Meaning, you've gotta pay for health care and you might not make the same amount of money as the next guy since there's a difference between a Janitor and a Doctor. The guy who gets most of the cash is successful. The lazy bum is not.

There is no way that communism could ever really work. In fact those countries that claim to be communist now are not, by definition communist. Communism as an ideal is not that bad. Everyone is equal. But people by nature want more. That is what makes us different. Monkey's, aside from not having that all important thumb, don't realize that there is more to be had then what they have. They want to be safe, have full bellies and mate. We want those things too, but more of everything. A bigger house to be safer in, better food and hotter mates. We get bored with the same. It becomes drudgery and it strips people of their individuality. So what those so called communist countries have are oppresive dictatorships where the rulers have everything they want and the masses have nothing. Even in those countries there is a hot black market to get the things people want, like Levis, pepsi or purses. They can't wear them outside but people want them. The other problem is the lack of reward based incentive for working. If you tell me that I can be anything, own any business and can be a millionaire if I work hard? Do you think I'll work hard? It is definately more likely then if you tell me I SHOULD work hard because everyone else has to work hard and that's just the way it is for the good of our country.

Communism is a system that provides everything but a motive. To see a perfect example of communism take a look at a child cleaning his room. The child sees no worth in the work to be done. He expects to receive no benefit from the work. Therefore he will do as poor a job as he can possible get away with. Now imagine an entire country trying to run that way. There you have Communism.

it has some benefits for a developing nation such as increases number of doctors and healthcare quickly.(cuba)
also food production can be helped.
it is much easier to let the market set the prices for goods rather than a government.
it is important to have frequent fair elections so the people can choose(nicaragua).
ultimately a regulated capitalist economy is superior.
taxes should be used for the well being of the people.
lobbying should be limited so the government is not run by corporate interests.
If you read economics then you will see that people operate in their own interest and with proper incentives this can benefit the society

Anytime you have a system where effort isn't commensurate with reward you introduce all the failings of the human condition. In a sense you reap what you sow. When you expect something for nothing, you get nothing as was shown by the failure of communism.

Communism was a good idea but run improperly it turned into a nightmare. Communism was meant to be a system of government in which everyone was equal and poverty did not exist. Which is how it made its way to power. But it was run corruptly and improperly used to help politicians gain power and is now, a horrible system of government.

Capitalism always wins. It motivates people to do better for themselves and figure out smarter and cheaper ways of doing things. Communism is government control and ownership of everything. Why strive to to better because it makes no difference.
