What are the requirments to file for unemployment? My husband worked at a job for 6 months and the last 3 weeks of it they cut him down to 2 days a week obviously we can't live off this. So he quit without telling me you think he would qualify for unempoyment?

To be sure, you should talk to your state unemployment office.

Generally, unemployment is for people that are unemployed through no fault of their own. So, if you quit, or are are fired, you generally cannot collect unemployment.

However, it is worth checking. It might help that they dropped his time down to 2 days a week.

I don't know what state you are in, but in California he wouldn't be eligible if he quit, only if he involuntarily quit working. If you guys need a great way to make some money meanwhile, I work for a really great company from my home. They offer training, support, 401k and benefits for your household as well.
