NEWSFLASH: Reagan was not that great of a president. His myth is way out of whack with reality. Ronald Reagan must be the nicest president who ever destroyed a union. He tried to cut school lunch milk rations from six to four ounces, and compelled families in need of public help to first dispose of household goods in excess of $1,000. Oh, and don't forget that he sold arms to a recognized enemy (Iran) and diverted the funds to an illegal war (Nicaragua). Why he wasn't impeached for treason, I'll never know.

If there is an authoritarian regime in the American future, Ronald Reagan is tailored to the image of a friendly fascist. He is, without a doubt, one of the most overrated men in history.

Oh, and John 16 (above), here's another newsflash: The liberals won the last election, and we're poised to win the next one. America has decided it can't take any more destruction at the hands of the neocons. Get on the winning team, bro!

In the first place Reagan was not the best president or greatest either, I really liked Reagan but he was a actor and that was all he was.
And god had not thing to do with either him or Bush, the people that voted Bush in office not once but twice can take the blame for that azz.

Reagan being one of the greatest presidents is dubious at best. As far as God making Bush implode I suggest you look to more earthly influences for that.

"GOD" didn't make Reagan anything. Reagan made himself....... a blasphemer. Don't believe it? It was known before the deal was ever cut with the Republican National Committee to help put him in office. There is a film out on the market that you can buy a copy of. It's called "Blushing Bloopers" and it has footage taken of Reagan taking the Lords name in vain no less than 4 times, because he had made a mistake on his lines in a movie role. He says, "God**** it!" over and over.

And this is the Holy man that the "MORAL" majority elected.

I must have missed something but please tell me how God made Reagan a great president? This man sat back for eight years and was sleeping most of the time. I thought it was Nancy who was running the the oval office.

Ronnie was actor playing the role of the president which was typical of his B movies. Who can forget the classic Bedtime for Bonzo?

I disagree about Reagan being one of the greatest presidents. The hard right pumped him up beyond anything he actually accomplished, which was very little. They sought their own version of JFK. Reagan does not measure up in my view. Not to mention, why inject God into anything that any of the presidents chose to do?

Here are two possible answers:

1. It was the will of Allah/God that Bush imploded, OR
2. God, if she exists, does not interfere in Earthly politics and had nothing to do with Reagan (who was terrible, by the way).

Reagan one of the greatest presidents in history? You don't expect much from your leaders do you? You must have the lowest expectations of our leaders than most people I know. Please keep God out of this. This is what the problem is. The bible thumpers think God puts these corrupt politicians in political office so they don't have to take responsibility for their lies and corruption. WAKE UP. God has nothing to do with it.

Reagan was far from being a great Pres. He had a terrific personality and that made people like him. But his policies were bad for the working class. Bush is a full out disaster.

Well, Reagan wasn't one of the greatest Presidents in history. He was just average. The only reason his administration was such a success was because he delegated authority and didn't do much himself. Bush imploded because he's an idiot and not even God could help him.
