Ive been with my wife for almost 5 years and we are best of friends. People look at us as wonderful people, but when we are together we treat each other horribly. It may be too late for me to ask this question in my marriage, but I'd like to know if anyone has gone through this.

Sometimes couples will go through a pissy period, whether married or dating couples will have somewhere from a week to 2 months of time where it seems like you just argue about anything and everything. It's ok we've all been there, for some reason it just happens then afterwards we realize we do love that person and stop for a long while, then it may pop up again a couple years down the road and so on....

I've been with my boyfriend for 5 years and are talking of marriage. We are best friends, although we do get in these spats where we treat each other mean. I know what your talking about. Usually that's just a sign you guys needs a little space. You a guys night and her a woman's spa night or girls night out. But hey, that's what makes a relationship. If you didn't have a spat here and there then the relationship probably wouldn't last.

It's called control! You must treat each other as yourself. If you were to remember, those words were spoken during your marriage. To be as one. So, if you and yours practice what you vowed to do before God, then neither of you would even consider treating the other badly. Remember you are hurting yourself.

Each must give 110%, and expect 10%. That is love.
If one gets angry, then the other stays calm. That is love.

We have been at this for 36 years, and we have followed the rules above. Plus never let a day go by that you don't kiss and say I love you! It works, and it is never to late to change.

People get on each others nerves sometimes. And when you're together so much, it's only natural that you're both the only target of frustration and anger.

People take things out on each other all the time.

Now that you are aware of it, try to better control it and look for other ways to release bad feelings.

Because it is but a very, very fine line between love and hate. And if you treat her so horribly, it's either time for counselling or time for you to move on ...and move out of there before you do something drastic and stupid.
