It just seems like everytime someone brings up the possibility of a conspiricy taking place, that there is that one person who always trys to belittle the question by saying Not Another Conspiricy Theory. Why don't they ever explain their reasons for this, or is it possible that they may be conspiring with others to protect their agenda.

Mostly people put down stories about conspiracies because:

1. Big juicy conspiracies need too many people all not saying a word to work, and that could never happen. You can't get a roomful of people to agree about where to go to LUNCH without it being a 2 hour ordeal.

2. Most conspiracy-theorists cannot be reasoned with. EVERYTHING is a part of the conspiracy to them. If someone has credible eye witness evidence, the conspiracy theorist will explain this away as the witness being paid off, or threatened, etc. Videotape? Made up in a laboratory somewhere.

Yeah I know what you mean. I just have to laugh when those people answer some questions. You're labelled a kook, deluded, left wing, where's ya tin foil hat, etc etc etc. But anyone with just a few marbles, and some basic info research, is capable of discovering that some theories are more like reality! As for debunking conspiracy theorists on yahoo by those who conspire, I'm inclined to consider the theory that they could be here at every opportunity, protecting their agenda. Truth is Stranger than fiction. The truth is out there. History will be the judge.

Good question. It is a perfect example of 'crying wolf.'

Fact is, there are people out there who seem to thrive on conspiracy theories - and the notoriety and publicity - but any reasonable person simply knows that EVERY event that takes place is not the result of a conspiracy.

For instance, awhile back I was checking on sources that were listed as "proof" that the events of 9/11 was the result of a government cover-up. Turns out the first, prominent "source" listed is well known as a Kennedy Assassination Theorist as well as a member of the 9/11 truth movement and was presently under indictment for criminal defamation for his most recent attempts to suggest that the tragic plane crash and resulting death of Senator Paul Wellstone was a government cover up.
Some valid source, eh?

Unfortunately, all of these ridiculous theories that keep popping up may well help hide any real questionable events or news items.

That is why they are called 'theories'. There isn't usually any hard evidence, obviously. If you were involved in a conspiracy, would you make it easy for people find out what you're up to? I would hope not. It doesn't mean that you should stop thinking for yourself. Conspiracy theorists dig deep and look for the real reasons that things happen. Yeah some are just crazy, but that's another thing for you decipher for yourself.

Most of the population is brainwashed and unable to see the bigger picture. They prefer being told what to think/do, rather than strive to become "self-actualized" because they know no other way. As soon as you introduce unknown concepts to people they react poorly. The key is proper education instead of an endless stream of propaganda and mindless distractions. The governments of the world have it easy and have untold systems to deal with "free thinkers". The truth must be ridiculed and suppressed. By labelling someone a conspiracy nut you avoid having to deal with the issues and questions head on.

People who are guilty of something do not want any discussion that will expose their involvement in the crime and the best way is to demonize the exposers as 'conspiracy theorist', nay-sayers, defeatis etc just trying to prolong their own wicked existence.
