NO!!! You will harm your eyes. The contact lenses might move to the back of your eyes and then you will have a really big problem! Don't play with your health! Always remove your contact lenses before you go to sleep. Take care!

For most contact lenses, you had better remove them. Otherwise, your eyes will feel uncomfortable because of dryness.
For some special contact lenses (i.e. extend wear), you can sleep with them on your eyes. But it also depends on your eyes.
Anyway, the best way is to remove them before you sleep.

Unless the contacts are specifically made for extended wear you should not get into the habit of sleeping with them in. Like everything else, your corneas need oxygen. You also run the risk of infection (that can eventually ruin your vision) because regular contacts must be cleansed on a daily basis. If you accidentally fall asleep with them that's not a problem, it is if you do it on a continuous basis.

There are contacts made specifically for sleeping but for sure ask your doctor or visit a med website. Mine are not, but I have slept with mine on a few times when Im just to dam lazy to take them out, and they just get super dry and stick to my eyeball. In this case I use some rewetting drops to get them out.
As for some of my crazy friends they never take there lenses out (SICK!!!) for like a month or two. There still up and running with no eye cancers. I think it just depends on your own body.

Nope, never a good idea. Your doc will tell you that. My daughter had big problems. Bacteria starts to eat away, and could leave to blindness eventually. In order to do that, you need to have a lens that provides at least 70% oxygen. Those contacts cost about $30 more. You should never go anymore than 16 hours with contacts in your eyes...

Only if they were specifically designed to be worn while sleeping. I don't wear contacts but I have a few friends who do and they've said that it is so uncomfortable in the morning for them if they wore their contacts to bed. Talk to your eye doctor.

depends on the brand. your eyes need oxygen and the contacts block that, so you need to give them a rest. I sleep in mine occasionally and I hate the goopy dry feeling I get the next day. also that is how some infections start.

It's really not recommended. Even more so if the lenses aren't designed for extended wear.
